Kaspersky, 27 Others Join Public Chamber

"Eugene Kaspersky has been named to the Public Chamber in Moscow along with 27 others. President Dmitry Medvedev  appointed the figures last week. With the appointment of the new members, it seems that Medvedev showed his priorities for the country's development. The Public Chamber was created in 2005 and was created by federal authorities to create an appearance of democracy in the country. The Public Chamber consists of 126 members, one-third of whom are appointed by the president while the other two-thirds are nominated by nongovernmental organizations and selected by the president's appointees."
